Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights activist, and an philanthropist. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive career within the field of human rights and international law have earned her worldwide acclaim. Her high-profile clients have included numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight for recognition of Armenia's Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney was engaged and became wed to American actor George Clooney, instantly making her a household names in the world of pop-culture.
